Our MediaGuide xpedeo is now also in use in the birthplace of Ernst-Ludwig Kirchner - one of the most important representatives of Expressionism. As part of the "KirchnerHAUS for sighted and blind people" project, our smart mobile devices guide visitors through the "Ernst Ludwig Kirchner - LebensSTATIONEN" exhibition. Touch reliefs and an elaborate, audio play-like sound production make a visit to the house a fascinating experience, especially (but not only) for visually impaired people.

2018

"The enthusiastic feedback from visually impaired and blind visitors to the multimedia exhibition "Ernst Ludwig Kirchner - LebensSTATIONEN" (Ernst Ludwig Kirchner - Stations of Life) proves in particular the practicality of the inclusive audio guide, which we were able to successfully realise in collaboration with Informationsgesellschaft Bremen."

Dr Brigitte Schad, Director of the KirchnerHAUS Museum

NEW DEVELOPMENT: Proximity localisation

With the bluetooth proximity detection system developed by us, the contributions are started as soon as the visitor approaches an exhibit. This barrier-free technology is therefore particularly suitable for blind and visually impaired visitors.
Bluetooth actually has a reputation for being extremely imprecise. But not with us! We have rethought the technology and found a way that works robustly and smoothly.
How did we do it? That remains the secret of our resourceful software department ...
